Hi! I'm Katie, a software engineer and full stack web developer with over 11 years of experience in a wide range of disciplines. I'm currently writing software using Dart, TypeScript, Node.js, Go, Java, Python, and Bash Scripting.

My journey started in 1997 at 9 years old when I created my first website based around a popular video game called Petz. It featured frames, marquees, seasonal graphics and other 90's web development atrocities I shudder at today. It wasn't long before I started creating websites for guilds in another game community called Neopets in 1999. This passion for web development thrived from this point forward and I was able to take it further by focusing on computer software and programming as an adult. After graduating high school, I pursued my bachelors degree in Computer Science at California State University, Fullerton where I graduated with honors in 2012. I spent my college days learning algorithms, design patterns, coding practices, and other invaluable necessities that have helped me become the software engineer I am today.

I now spend my days developing software using all sorts of flavors of frameworks: Node.js + Express, Angular, React; while simultaneously writing applications using Go, Java, C++, Python, Bash Scripting and everything in between.

In my spare time you can find me exploring new technologies, developing web sites for fun, enjoying the great outdoors, playing video games, experimenting with photography, cooking, traveling and much more (I may have too many hobbies)! I love meeting people, new adventures, and continuously learning.
